Vajracharya Paul King, Chanping Dezhi, was born in Essex and started his sarch for inner peace after failing his degree at the age of 21. Whilst working as driving instructor, he became a senior Tai Chi instructor for 12 years. In 2006, after being left some money he went to Hawaii to study Traditional Chinese Medicine on a 4 year Masters Degree. In November 2006, a small poster pinned
to his school notice board said, “Come and learn meditation from Living Buddha, Dechan Jueren…”. Although he had struggled to meditate in the past, he found that the techniques that Dechan Jueren shared had a very powerful healing effect and helped him start to find that inner peace in everyday life.
In May 2007 he became a student of Dechan Jueren and organized Dechan’s first visit to England in Sept 2007. From the success of this visit, Paul was invited to study further with Dechan Jueren. As a result he has become the UK’s first and only empowered teacher of the Esoteric school’s Medicine Buddha practice.

“I taught this yoga because it helps the householder who must live in and build a better life. You can find the Heavens here within your life; you do not need to wait for a later Heaven.” Yogi Bhajan
Teaching kundalini yoga has come directly from my own positive experience of learning it. I found regular practice of different physical activities helped me to deal with the stresses and hectic pace of a busy family life and I made a few tentative attempts at trying yoga. Once I started Kundalini yoga classes I knew it was for me – it had such an immediate positive impact – so the more I learnt the more I wanted to do. I trained as a teacher in 2008 and have been teaching at the centre and other gyms round Cambridge, leading Sadhana and organising group practice sessions. I enjoy sharing what I learn with friends and students.
